The Sathya Sai School in Leicester is an independent, co-educational primary day school, which conforms to the conditions set out by the DfES – Independent schools. It offers the National Curriculum supplemented and reinforced with values-based education.
The school opened on 3/09/01 with one class of reception/year one pupils. The school has and will expand yearly as each class progresses to the next stage. Therefore by the year 2007 the school will have blossomed into a full primary school.
At present the school occupies two floors of a three storey Victorian building. The first floor consists of the nursery and reception area, sports hall and general store room. The second floor comprises of classroom for years 1, 2, 3 and 4, prayer/ reading area and wet/ activity/ lunch area. Separate toilets for girls and boys are located between the second and third floors. The school has an outdoor playground. A large car park is found at the rear of the building. The school’s private entrance is accessible through the car park. The Head teacher’s office is located on the first floor.
