The Sathya Sai School Leicester, UK is founded under the guidance and inspiration of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The school is based on the philosophy and teachings of Sathya Sai Baba and the Sathya Sai Education in Human Values programme (SSEHV).

“Values are necessary for acquiring education. Education is for life. Life is for Love. Love is for service to the nation and the world. Then there will be peace. Starting with values you end up with peace. There can be no peace without values.”

                                       -Sathya Sai Baba

As we take this endeavour to bring about peace in the world through education of children, we are blessed to have Sathya Sai Baba, the Divine Example, among us. He is the Chancellor of the Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, in India. He was born on November 23rd, 1926, in the small village of Puttaparthi, which is in Andhra Pradesh, Southern India. He is a world-renowned spiritual leader whose mission is the restoration of human values at every level of society. He teaches that the basic human nature is divine, and the purpose of life is realising that divinity. He states that this occurs through leading a moral life, rendering service to others and developing compassion for all. Sathya Sai Baba has laid down four basic principles, namely

  • There is only One Religion, the religion of Love.
  • There is only One Language, the language of the Heart.
  • There is only One Caste, the caste of Humanity.
  • There is only One God, He is Omnipresent.

He has established Sathya Sai Schools in many other countries around the world, for example, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Fiji, Indonesia, Kenya, Mauritius, Nepal, Philippines, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, USA, Zambia and now in the United Kingdom. All Sathya Sai Schools are seats of excellence in spiritual, moral and academic education.
